What these figures carry

  • A location is where a service is licensed or funded, not where a resident can be seen. Nothing here says anything about hours, capacity or travel time.

Dysart et al

  • Here: Drugstore Pharmacy #4264, Haliburton Highland Pharmacy, Haliburton Village Pharmacy, Rexall #6999.

Minden Hills

  • Here: Highland Remedy's Rx 160, Minden Pharmasave.

Highlands East

  • Here: Wilberforce Multicare Pharmacy.

Algonquin Highlands

  • None licensed here. That is the ministry's register rather than an absence this atlas could not fill.

Which way is better

Higher is better. A pharmacy, a hospital or a family health team within the municipality is nearer than one outside it. Unlike most of what this atlas measures, nobody argues the other way — though a count says nothing about hours, capacity or whether anyone is taking patients.
